Health Disparity is a root problem for low-income residents not only here in Georgia but across the United States of America. Health Disparities can be defined as inequalities that exist when members of certain population groups do not benefit from the same health status as other groups. According to the National Institutes for Health, “Health disparities are differences in the incidence, prevalence, mortality, and burden of diseases and other adverse health conditions that exist among specific population groups in the United States.” For this reason HealthCHEC Technologies was created to assist in the reduction of health disparities.
HealthCHEC Technologies, Inc. is a specialized health services company that helps Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) and local health agencies, improve their HEDIS measures and NCQA ratings to meet state and federal government compliance. We do this by locating and reconnecting their hard-to-reach members.
HealthCHEC Technologies’ prime objective is to reduce health disparities among minorities and other underserved populations, by helping our customers to better accomplish their goals. We can achieve success by implementing our CTL method:
- Connecting with the target populations and collecting pertinent granular data
- Using our specialized mobile application and analytic software Technology to analyze and assess the problem, and advise the health plans and primary care providers
