CHEC Pro - Children

Today, this neighborhood suffers from high unemployment, high crime rates, high drop-out rates, and other

social ailments all of which affect our children’s access to quality education, health care, and safe environment. This is the same neighborhood that one of the world’s most famous leaders, most commonly known for his extraordinary role in the civil rights movement and for his special affinity toward children, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was raised in. Dr. King attended Washington High School which is now one of the poorest schools in the Atlanta Public School system. Like Dr. King, CHEC Pro believes that it is our job to prepare our children for the world and do what is necessary to ensure a future filled with opportunity. Parental involvement is essential!

Our Kids CHEC Program is designed to:

  • Increase math and science scores and broaden their perspectives on these fields of study
  • Increase knowledge and renew interest in US Civics
  • Increase Civic engagement
  • Reduce Drop-Out rates
  • Offer an alternative to the streets and negative activities through the arts and educational clubs
  • Equip youth with tools to achieve their educational and career goals
